All over town | Portland, ME | September 18, 2016
Portland, Maine’s LGBTQIA (lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer/questioning, intersex, ally/asexual community) filled the streets of Maine’s largest city once again to bring people together “to celebrate the achievements of the LGBTQIA movement, remember our history, and raise awareness of the work that still needs to be done.” Mary Bonauto, the Portland lawyer who successfully argued the marriage equality case at the U.S. Supreme Court, served as one of the parade’s marshalls.
