First-ever Boston Pride Community Fund Grant Recipients Announced

The 2016 recipients of the Boston Pride Fund grant recipients comprise a rainbow of diverse small nonprofits and other groups that support New England’s LGBT community.

Awardees were announced early this week by Boston Pride President Sylvain Bruni and Vice President Linda DeMarco after an independent panel of community members processed the applications received at the end of 2015. “We are thrilled to announce the grant recipients of our first every Boston Pride Community Fund,” says Bruni. “With the funds raised through various Pride events, we are now able to offer support and visibility to small and community-based projects within our community.”

Boston Pride’s mission is to produce “events and activities to achieve inclusivity, equality, respect, and awareness in Greater Boston and beyond. Fostering diversity, unity, visibility and dignity, we educate, communicate and advocate by building and strengthening community connections.”  Pride Week 2016 will be held June 3-12.
