GLAD (Gay and Lesbian Advocates and Defenders) wants to hear from you! The New England-based LGBT legal advocacy group is hosting a “GLADHour” happy hour-style social event for the LGBT community and friends to mix and mingle with fellow supporters and leaders of the organization from 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 12, at the Back Bay Social Club, located at 867 Boylston Street, in Boston.
There will be complimentary hors d’oeuvres and a cash bar at this free event, co-hosted by the Massachusetts LGBTQ Bar Association. And you can get a free drink at the event by posting your thoughts on what “#JusticeIs” on GLAD’s Facebook page or by tagging @GLADLaw on Twitter.
GLAD is always looking to reach out and hear from, support, and involve members of our community in its mission to create a just society free of discrimination based on gender identity and expression, HIV status, and sexual orientation.
As GLAD’s executive director Jason Wu puts it, “When all is said and done, GLAD is nothing more and nothing less than the handiwork of a community of dedicated individuals—board, donors, staff, volunteers, and allies—with a shared vision of equality and justice.”
The GLADHour event is a great opportunity for everyone to come together at a happy occasion and voice shared concerns.
