It’s one of the summer’s most fun feel-good events. The Red Inn is once again hosting Boston-based Community Research Initiative‘s annual Summer Party in Provincetown from noon to 3 p.m. on Saturday, July 18. It’s fun because it’s located right on Provincetown Bay at 15 Commercial St. and there’s plenty of friends, great food, drinks, special guests, and surprises. It’s feel-good because it raises funds for CRI’s lifesaving HIV/AIDS and hepatitis C clinical research.
For tickets and details, contact Marybeth McCabe at (617) 502-1726 or mmcabe@crine.org.
Hosted by Jon Goode, Cary Raymond, Doug Dolezal, and Greg Welch, this year’s festivities mark the event’s 12th anniversary. And it celebrates the 2015 recipients of the Dr. Cal Cohen Founder’s Award: long-time CRI supporters Jonathan Crutchley, Victor DePoalo, and Red Inn proprietors Philip Mossy, Sean Burke, and David Silva.
A little bit about the honorees from CRI:
Jonathan Crutchley a successful real estate developer, and co-founder and chairman of the board at Online Buddies Inc. Mr. Crutchley actively supports CRI and a number of other AIDS-related charities, and continues to be a tireless champion for the entire gay and lesbian community.
Victor DePoalo is a well-respected real estate developer and the owner of Victor’s Restaurant in Provincetown. Mr. DePoalo is celebrated for his generous spirit and passionate support of CRI and its HIV and HCV clinical research.
Philip Mossy, Sean Burke, and David Silva have provided hospitality to the Provincetown community for many years. Their activism and long-standing support of CRI have been instrumental in making the annual Summer Party in Provincetown CRI’s most successful and well-attended fundraising event.
Mr. DePoalo and Mr. Crutchley are also longtime members of the CRI Leadership Council, where they provide guidance, support, and encouragement for CRI’s important work.
The Red Inn, by the way, is celebrating its 100th anniversary this year, so be sure to congratulate Philip, Sean, and David for keeping the grand dame of Provincetown’s far West End in tip-top, first-class shape.
