Brett Smiley is running for mayor of Rhode Island’s largest city, Providence. And he’s released a very gay-friendly video promoting himself.
It’s not like Providence hasn’t had an openly gay mayoral candidate or mayor before this — David Cicilline. And it’s not like gay candidates haven’t been using YouTube to promote themselves recently — Carl Scioritino.
