Boston-area LGBT entrepreneurs unite!
The happening spot for the area’s LGBT start-up community is Venture Cafe on the fifth floor of the Cambridge Innovation Center, where StartOut hosts its networking events—the largest in the area for LGBT business people, from the curious to the savvy. And the next one takes place on Thursday, November 19, from 5:30 to 8 p.m.
Located at 1 Broadway in Kendall Square, the Cambridge Innovation Center bills itself as having “more startups than anywhere else on the planet.” How cool is that? Attendees will be part of a cohort of like-minded LGBTs sharing advice and firing each other up in a fun, safe space to reach out and network.
The events are held in a private room, off the main space, where the LGBT community can meet and mingle. Some icebreakers are planned. The events are all about networking and having fun. What’s more, Venture Cafe is making available extra space for booth where participants share their fresh ideas with the wider innovation community.
StartOut is a national nonprofit organization dedicated to creating great business leaders by fostering LGBT entrepreneurs. Since its founding in 2009, StartOut has produced over 200 events with more than 14,000 participants nationwide to inspire, educate and support LGBT entrepreneurs. StartOut has chapters in Austin, Boston, New York, Chicago, Los Angeles and San Francisco, with Seattle and Denver in development.
