The Boston Gay Basketball League wrapped up its 22nd season by inducting five league members into its Hall of Fame. For their contributions on and off the courts, the BGBL honored the following players at its ceremony: Kevin Lalli, Charlie Perry, Gary Freeman, Jonathan Melman, and Ken Sawada. With 14 teams in two divisions, the BGBL is one of the largest and oldest LGBT basketball leagues in the country. The league operates three eight-week long pick up leagues between May and October, and the regular season runs from November through April.
